LiveText Student Information
To Activate Your LiveText Account:
Click on Purchase/Register.
Click on Register Membership.
Complete the steps for registration.
Enter your faculty ID# (not SS#). (if you do not know...please just skip this step)
LiveText is the data management system selected by Perkins College of Education (PCOE) for program improvement and accreditation purposes. All PCOE students are required to purchase and use a LiveText account. You may purchase LiveText at the bookstore or purchase it online. LiveText costs $98.00 for a 5 year account. It has an ISBN number and is covered by financial aid if purchased at the bookstore during the first two weeks of the semester. You will purchase it only once and then use it throughout your program.
All students are required to purchase a LiveText account, either through the University Bookstore
or at www.livetext.com
. This is a one-time purchase, and the account will be used throughout your program. Required program assignments must be submitted through LiveText. Successful completion of the course and program are dependent on submission of all required LiveText assignments. The system is also available for student use as an online digital repository, where students can store documents, images and video clips as a robust e-portfolio system to house everything related to the College of Education.
To activate your LiveText account:
Go to http://www.livetext.com
If you have purchased LiveText at the bookstore, click on “Register account.”
If you do not purchase it at the bookstore, click on “Purchase Membership” and click “Standard Edition” student.
Follow the directions and type in required information. You must enter your student ID number.
Once your account is activated, you can log in at anytime.
Courses/assignments will be loaded on your Dashboard page each semester.
