Teaching Excellence Committee

The Perkins College of Education (PCOE) Teaching Excellence Committee is charged with two specific responsibilities.  This committee’s first obligation is to select a Teaching Excellence recipient to represent the PCOE from among the recipients of each department and school.  Once a PCOE representative is selected, the Teaching Excellence Committee plans and implements a college-wide reception in April to honor departmental and school recipients.  Committee members are elected by each department/school, serve for a two-year term with a staggered rotation.  The co-chairs of the committee are the PCOE representatives from the past two years.  The committee meets in early September to establish critical dates and then meets in the spring semester as required by the teaching excellence guidelines.
